Dewey's 24 hour Read-A-Thon 2014

Get excited because drum roll please........

This Saturday April 26th marks the annual Dewey's 24 Hour Read-A-Thon!!!!!!!
I am so freaking excited!!!!! I have never participated in this particular 24 Hour Read-A-Thon before, but I have participated in others. I know what you are thinking, Jordan you've never participated in Dewey's 24 Hour Read-A-Thon before?! Nope, I haven't. I always was really busy when ever it came around and I didn't have time to just sit down and read. I finally can participate in the most talked about worldwide Read-A-Thon and I can't wait!!! I have orientation for work for a few hours Saturday morning, but I'll still have so much time to read and at least I still can participate:)

WHAT IS A 24 HOUR READ-A-THON?

A 24 hour Read-A-Thon is when you read as much as you can in 24 hours. Some people think you have to read non-stop but that is more than impossible, so you don't have to read the whole 24 hours.  You can take breaks to eat, take a shower, take a nap or to do anything else you need to do. During Dewey's 24 hour Read-A-Thon there also will be different people hosting  mini challenges every hour that you can participate in and you even can win prizes! :)  They even have everybody starting at different times depending on their time zone so everybody can read at the same time.

 HISTORY

A woman named Dewey started a 24 Hour Read-A-Thon on her blog The Hidden Side of A Leaf in October 2007. She continued to get more and more people to participate in it each year and it grew into a world wide event. Unfortunately, Dewey passed away in November 2008, but the Dewey's 24 Hour Read-A-Thon is still held in her honor annually each fall and spring.

INTRO
1) What part of the world are you reading from? North Carolina!
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?:  I am most looking forward to reading The Fault In Our Stars By: John Green.
