<3 FINAL THOUGHTS <3
Omg... so this was the most amazing experience of my life!! Last time Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-thon came around I had to work, but this time I actually got a lot of reading done and I participated in so many challenges. I read a number of 3 total books and 466 pages... wow I'm surprised and I feel so proud of myself. I mean I didn't quite meet my goal, but that's like almost double of what I read last time.  I want to thank all my amazing cheerleaders that cheered me on and kept me going when I felt like I couldn't read anymore... ya'll are the best<3
Well until next time...

Dewey's 24 Hour Read-A-Thon October 2014

 GUESS WHAT......GUESS WHAT.........GUESS WHAT
TOMORROW IS  DEWEY'S 24 HOUR READ-A-THON!!!

r

Aaaaaaaaah I'm so exited because Dewey's 24 Hour Read-A-Thon Starts tomorrow!!!
The last time around in April I had to work and I hardly was able to read, so I'm looking forward to participate fully this a timeI am going to try to read as much as my mind and eyes can handle in 24 hours.
I am also looking forward to participating in all of the challenges that are going on during the Read-A-Thon and talking to all the lovely folks participating in it:) This is gonna be the bomb.com LOL

WHAT IS DEWEY'S 24 HOUR READ-A-THON?
Dewey's 24 Hour Read-A-Thon  is where you read all the books you can in 24 Hours. There are also many challenges you can participate in and trending hashtags on Twitter and Instagram so you can talk to all the other people participating. Each time zone starts at a different time on Saturday, October 18th that way we can read at the exact same time no matter where we are in the world :) You can read as much or as little as you want and feel free to take some breaks;)
For more information and for the start times you can visit:

MY STACK
Here is my big, gigantic elephant of a book stack for the Read-A-Thon. I know this is a far stretch, but I like to have a good variety to choose from. My goal is to read atleast 4 books during the Read-A-Thon.
 HERE'S THE LIST:
    • Haunted Charleston ( short stories about haunted places): I will not read the whole book but I will read a story when I need a break from the more intense books
    • The Shack
    • The Vampire Diaries: The Return: Nightfall: already read about half of it so I need to finish it
    • Buffy The Vampire Slayer Volume 1: there are two books in this bind up so I just want to read the first one
    • The Madness Underneath (Shades of London #2)
    • The Lovely Bones
    • Mocking Jay: I need to read this before the movie comes out:)
    • Lea Michelle's Brunette Ambition: Because I love her to death and she is my role model. It has pictures in it so it shouldn't take me that long to read:)
I'm gonna go to bed now,so I can rest up to read tomorrow, but I leave you with these five perfect lads.
       Good Night XOXOXOX

    Dewey's 24 Hour Read-A-Thon 2014 Wrap-Up

Sadly I got home really late from my orientation for work and hardly had any time to read at all :(
I was looking forward to this Read-A- Thon and I normally would have gotten through tons of books, but I only managed to read one book (that I started beforehand) and some of another book. When I flinally got home from the orientation at 2:30pm it was already hour 7 of the read-a-thon. Also, I  had loads of homework this weekend and had to knock that out after dinner.  By the time I ate dinner and did my homework it was already 9pm and hour 13 of the read-a-thon. Unfortunately, I couldn't stay up all night because I had a lot going on today and didn't want to be exhausted. I was hoping to at least stay up to 4am, but I was too tired too keep my eyes open. As you can probably tell this Read-A-Thon was just noot in my favor this year:(  I can't wait though till it comes around again and I can participate full and spend the whole 24 hours reading!

    Dewey's 24 hour Read-A-Thon 2014

Get excited because drum roll please........

This Saturday April 26th marks the annual Dewey's 24 Hour Read-A-Thon!!!!!!!
I am so freaking excited!!!!! I have never participated in this particular 24 Hour Read-A-Thon before, but I have participated in others. I know what you are thinking, Jordan you've never participated in Dewey's 24 Hour Read-A-Thon before?! Nope, I haven't. I always was really busy when ever it came around and I didn't have time to just sit down and read. I finally can participate in the most talked about worldwide Read-A-Thon and I can't wait!!! I have orientation for work for a few hours Saturday morning, but I'll still have so much time to read and at least I still can participate:)

    WHAT IS A 24 HOUR READ-A-THON?

A 24 hour Read-A-Thon is when you read as much as you can in 24 hours. Some people think you have to read non-stop but that is more than impossible, so you don't have to read the whole 24 hours.  You can take breaks to eat, take a shower, take a nap or to do anything else you need to do. During Dewey's 24 hour Read-A-Thon there also will be different people hosting  mini challenges every hour that you can participate in and you even can win prizes! :)  They even have everybody starting at different times depending on their time zone so everybody can read at the same time.

For more information or to sign-up to be a reader or a cheerleader you can visit:
     http://24hourreadathon.com/

To see the starting times of the Read-A-Thon you can visit:

     HISTORY

A woman named Dewey started a 24 Hour Read-A-Thon on her blog The Hidden Side of A Leaf in October 2007. She continued to get more and more people to participate in it each year and it grew into a world wide event. Unfortunately, Dewey passed away in November 2008, but the Dewey's 24 Hour Read-A-Thon is still held in her honor annually each fall and spring.
