2016 Steampunk Reading Challenge

This year I am participating in the Steampunk Reading Challenge hosted by In Wonderland. I have chosen to do the Navigator level where you read 6-10 books, so I don't overwhelm myself with too many challenges this year.

If I read more than 10 Steampunk books this year I will definitely move up a level, but for now this is what I am going to reach for. Feel free to join me in this challenge!

This year I am also participating in the BookishResolution Challenge where you set reading goals, blogging goals and personal goals to complete throughout the year and post updates.


Reading Goals:
  • Update my book library onto the LibraryThing
  • Create a Netgalley account and start doing reviews on it
  • Read at least five books on Netgalley this year
  • Only spend $120 on books this year
  • Can buy a book per five books read
  • Listen to at least five audiobooks this year
  • Participate in at least ten read-a-thons this year
  • Read at least one book per week and at least four books a month
  • Read thirty books that I already own
  • Read at least three classics this year
  • Read at least three non-fiction books
  • Read at least three crime/mystery novels
Blogging Goals:
  • Do blog posts every weekend
  • Write at least two book reviews every month
  • Create a blog/review schedule
  • Create a blogger button
  • Redo/Update Layout and Design of blog
  • Update pages on my blog
  • Set up social media pages
Personal Goals:
  • Lose the "Freshman 15"
  • Exercise More
  • Finish writing the rough drafts of both of my novels
  • Participate in Nanowrimo and succeed
  • Participate in one of the Camp Nanowrimos
  • Learn how to play my Ukulele

2016 Alphabet Soup Challenge




This year I have decided to participate in the Alphabet Soup Reading Challenge that is hosted by Escape With Dollycas Into A Good Book. This challenge will take place from January 1st, 2016 until December 31st, 2016. The goal with this challenge is to read a book with a title starting with every letter of the alphabet by the end of the year.
